A couple weeks ago, I got back from from a expedition commissioned by Thomas Jefferson our president. I was accompanied by Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, Seaman the dog, and the Corps of Discovery which I was a part of. Our mission was to explore the newly purchased Louisiana Territory, and president Jefferson expected us to find and map a water route across the North America, create strong relationships with Native Americans and let them know we now own the land they are on, lastly he wanted us to collect information about new undiscovered plants, animals, and landmarks. Lewis personally taught me to be a significant path finder. He was born to a Virginia planter family. He taught all of us how to plant foods. Lewis was an excellent hunter, he went out every other day to go hunt, and brought us back a different animal every time. Lewis was a great peoples person. There was no waterfront that went all the way across the land. Our hopes were so high to find the Northwest passage, but we didn’t find it. We all thought we failed president Jefferson, but he wasn’t upset. We were all a little bit sad that we didn’t find the main expectation. Although that was a bit of a let down, it brought all of us together as friends, and showed us who we really are. I think that it was a excellent idea to go on this expedition, because we discovered more than enough species, and made great relationships with some tribes. President Jefferson thanked us, and we all came back to our families. Everyone thought we were gone forever, because we had no communication with the East. We all thanked each other at the end for keeping everyone
