To Begin With, Siberian Tigers Are Very Dangerous. The typical Siberian tiger habitat is the Russian woodlands where scrub oaks, birch and coniferous trees dominate the landscape. Intense poaching and habitat loss are seriously threatening the survival of Siberian tigers in the wild. Collaborate with Russian scientists, conservationists, and local stakeholders in preparing and implementing habitat. Unplanned industrial development, especially timber harvesting and mining destroys or degrades the critical habitat of these cats. The size of a tiger territory depends on the amount of food available and usually ranged from about 10 to 30 square miles (26-78 sq. km) .Although tigers usually live alone, tiger territories can overlap. A male tiger’s territory usually overlaps those several females’ tigers. Today only about 5,000-7,000 wild tigers live across Asia. In Addition To, the Siberian tiger and Amur is considered a critically endangered species with the primary threats to its survival in the wild being poaching and habitat loss from intensive logging and development .Tigers are most commonly poached for their fur and for their body parts used in traditional Chinese medicine .It is estimated that in 1991 alone, one-third of the Siberian tiger population was killed to meet the demand for their bones and other parts used in this practice. This even though the practice is how unlawful in china. In 1993 the state council of the people’s republic of china issued a notice declaring the use of tiger bone for medicinal purposes to be illegal. The Chinese government encouraged the ministry of public health and pharmaceutical companies to seek substitute medicines for tiger parts.
