Strict Parents Create Sneaky Kids Yells from down the hall! Footsteps stomping You're mom barges into your room saying “get off the internet!” Now you're grounded for a month because you were talking to friend asking for help on A homework assignment that you didn't quite understand. You may think i'm trying to exaggerate but really their is an abundance of parents that are overprotective limiting screen time to a bare minimum because they think it's a waste of time. In reality it can do a whole lot more good than bad by teaching teens important life skills that they will benefit from throughout their life. Benefits such as building communication or social skills are why parents shouldn't limit online time for teens.

Limiting screen time creates a craving for it, teens and everyone for that matter want what they can't have and they will go an extra mile to get it. Strict parents create sneaky kids and by limiting their screen time it will only create more problems then solve. Almost everything I know has came from the internet it has taught me so many things and has gotten me out of many problems and even has taught me math lessons that I couldn't understand from a teacher. The skills you learn from the internet are unlimited from typing skills,research skills,global world view, time management, entrepreneurship, and tolerance are all reasons why we shouldn't try to keep our teens away from the internet but embrace it and put it to good use because the internet isn't going away anytime
