Princess For Hire

I chose to do a report of the book “Princess for Hire” by Lindsey Leavitt.
The main character is Desi Bascomb, who is a 14 year old.She lived in a town called Sproutsville, but was searching for adventure which the town lacked. As far as she was concerned... life sucked. She had to work at “Pet Charming” as a ground hog mascot. To top everything off her former best friend, Celeste, did not speak to her anymore and makes it her priority to actively ruin her life. To put the icing on top of her not so fabulous life,the boy she likes (Hayden ) is dating her enemy. One day she comes across an ad looking for a princess double. Suddenly a beautifully dressed woman…show more content… Later on at a banquet, as Desi was subbing for Princess Simmy , Queen Raleena noticed her and they became friends. Nabilla, Simmy’s older sister, then gets severely jealous and destroys her French horn In her next substituting gig,Desi takes the bubble to a tribe in the Amazon. There she substituted for Princess Ama. Unfortunately, she had to perform a traditional tribe dance into” womanhood”,Because she didn't know it she ran away.When Princess Ama came back, they switched places and the tree spirits thought that it was evil and in result they shot poisonous darts at the bubble and popped it.Desi falls onto a tree after the unfortunate bubble malfunction. Thankfully Meredith saves her but put her on probation. Due to her probation, she went back home and went to the “pie tent” at a local fair. She had to catch up with her current events. At the tent she remembers and sees her friends and talks to them. Later she gets she also gets dunked by Hayden almost drowns but is saved by a boy named
