As mentioned in the claim, Edgar Allan Poe used 3 elements of setting to write “Tell Tale Heart”. One of those elements was mood and atmosphere which is characters and events are influenced by time. For example , In (pg.538,p.2) the narrator explains that for a whole week at midnight he would stalk the old man sleeping as he plotted to kill the man. Also, In (pg.538,p.3) the narrator explained that he used a dark lantern to help him stalk the old man sleeping.
