Lloyd Alexander’s The Book Of Three has a very interesting protagonist in Taran. Taran is an assistant Pig-Keeper and through his journey in this book, Taran is considered one of the more impactful young heroes in children literature. He is a very short-tempered and often uncoordinated boy but nevertheless has great ambitions. One of the characters he looks up to is Gwydion because of his compassion and humbleness. Taran is very flawed but his flaws make him all the more relatable character to the younger readers and other audiences.
