Justification: The installed Safety Door Hasp shall allow for a Lockout Safety Hasp and locks to be applied, protecting personnel and property without altering the design or function of the Primary Coolant System pH Control Cabinet, and satisfying ADM-0200 which states, “All lockout/tagout activities of ORNL energy sources will be performed by ORNL employees … The control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout) requires that steps be taken to isolate equipment and machinery from the energy source to prevent unexpected energization, startup of the machines or equipment, or the release of stored energy to prevent injury to employees or subcontractors. This control is accomplished by the application of a lock and/or a tag.”
