Logical Fallacies: Video Analysis

Logical Fallacies After watching the videos, I have a better understanding of logical fallacies. Each video was always able to present new information that the previous video did not. All the videos had different ways of teaching different things, but they always had something in common with each other. The first video, “Logical Fallacies”, was almost like a pre-recorded PowerPoint presentation. It gave background information, as well as laid the foundation for later videos, by introducing the basic fallacies and giving some examples of them. All the fallacies mentioned in this video were also mentioned in all the others. Next, “Analyzing Trump – Fallacies in 3 minutes”, this video is by well-respected YouTube channel, Teach argument. In this video, they use a speech that Trump makes to teach the viewer how to point out logical fallacies in real world situations. This is also something all the videos after this one does, like “Fallacy Examples”, the video is just what the title says, it gives you examples of fallacies. The examples were from commercials or from some TV shows, but gave no explanation of how the commercial or TV show is an example of a logical fallacy. …show more content…
I would like to think of him as a typical YouTuber because he uses all the strategies any other YouTuber would use to keep their audience entertained. He found gifs that related to most things he said. I liked these videos the most out of all six because he used the strategies, and gifs, but also because it appealed more to my generation because there was not just a voice doing a voiceover. His examples were arguments that teens seem to debate about the most, it was almost as if you forgot you were learning something.
