I have chosen to take a look at the organization in the theme park Disneyland Paris. The question I asked myself is “What do you need to get a successful theme park like Disney World?” the main answer to that question is in my opinion with the following things:
- Attractions
- Restaurants
- Souvenirs shop(s)
- Restrooms
- Signs
Off course there are some other factors, like management etc., that you need in order to lead a successful theme park. But some of those are not really relevant to logistics. That is why I chose to concentrate on the above list of things.
The attractions:
The first thing I think of when I think of a theme park are the attractions, the question concerning logistics that immediately pops into my mind is:

Also toilets etc. need to be transported to the theme park. The pipes for the water supply need to be constructed. And off course a continuing supply and transport to the theme park of toilet paper.
The signs:
Another very important factor are the exclusive signs, in Disneyland there are a lot of special made signs to make people differ Disneyland from other theme parks. They are sometimes put high in the air so that Disneyland is recognised from a great distance. They are made and stored until they are needed in the theme park, when they are needed they simply are transported to the theme park and placed in place. Now we all recognize Disneyland from a distance.

As you can see logistics is very meaningful in such a business, all the great things in a theme park partly rely on logistics. Without logistics theme parks would be nowhere. So it is of great importance to really try to have a balanced logistics management in order to create a fun and exciting theme park where people want to come back to.
