The Lone Wolf v Hitchcock case of 1903 was a United States Supreme court case that was brought on by the Kiowa chief, Lone Wolf. The case was set against the US government because Lone Wolf claimed that the Native American tribes weren’t protected under the treaties signed by the federal government and Native American tribes. As a result, Native American’s were robbed of land due to congressional actions that violated the treaty. The specific treaty was the Medicine Lodge Treaty of 1867. This treaty relocated Native Americans to reservations in Indian Territory, so that they would be away from White settlement. The provision in this treaty required exactly three-fourths of the adult males in the Kiowa, Apache, and Comanche tribes agree to
