Lopez Lomong was a fast runner from the country of Sudan. He competed in the Olympics and placed in all of them. When he found out he was a fast runner, he went to America to show off his talents to the world. He was a great athlete for running and he was very fast too. Lopez Lomong was one of the lost boys from Sudan. He was born January 5, 1985 in Sudan. He faced many conflicts such as possibly being killed in combat, or forced to join the army as a young boy. He almost died in captivity but helped his people in the village. He was able to walk to a refugee camp in Kenya with four other lost boys trying to escape. In conclusion, he wanted to flee Sudan because he was desperate to escape and survive. So he fled to America so he could have
