This statement takes place when they first get on the island, Ralf is telling all the other members of his group that maybe something happened to the world while they were away and they may be the only survivors.
In the lord of the flies Ralf, Piggy, Simon, and Jack learn how to survive and thrive on an island all be their self.
On the island the kids learn how to trust each other but one person can change it all that person is Jack, now both the groups have to fend for themselves for food and against each other. Ralph - Ralph is 12 and one of the older boys on the island. He is the leader throughout most of the book because he is determined, rational, and understanding. He tries to understand the problem and the people on the island trying to give rational solutions. However he loses faith in the boys and decides that there is very little hope to restore order into the island.
Jack - Jack is also one of the older boys and about Ralph's age. He starts as the leader of the choirboys, and develops into the leader of the hunters eventually taking over everyone on the island. He is strong, villainous, and proud he cares only for his own power and not for the common good.
Piggy - Piggy is slightly younger than Ralph and is the weakling in the group because he is overweight and suffering from asthma. He is weak, smart, and friendly. He is killed by the Jacks group.
Simon – Simon is skinny, kind, caring and sincere. He is the one that seems to best understand the inner evil, and the first to understand the
