The Reggio Emilia Approach was created by Loris Malaguzzi. The Reggio Emilia Approach is an educational philosophy focused on young children’s education. It is a teaching strategy based around the student and what knowledge they hold. The bases of the program is the principles of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery through a self-guidance. At the core it assumes children form their own personality during the early years of development, children are given "a hundred languages", through which they can express their ideas.
