Located in the Exposition Park neighbourhood in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum first opened its doors in 1923, and was known to be the largest stadium in the US at that time. The sports stadium is currently the home ground of the University of Southern California Trojans football team, and will host the Summer Olympics in 2028.

The Guinness World Record for the largest number of spectators at at baseball game was also set at the Coliseum, when the Los Angeles Dodgers played against the Boston Red Sox baseball team. The sporting venue also welcomed famous personalities such as Billy Graham 1963 and Nelson Mandela in 1990, and even hosted the first papal mass by Pope John Paul the second.
