The Louisiana Purchase stretched from Canada to Mexico to the Mississippi river ending at the Rocky Mountains. This was one of the largest expansions in the united states of all time. The major party in this land expansion was due to Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson an Anti-federalist disagreed with his own ideas when it came to the Louisiana Purchase and made sure that the Federalist Party was declined.
