It was June 17th and it was opening day for the Lowell Spinners(which is the well known Lowell baseball team). The Tenney Band had gotten asked to perform the National Anthem. We couldn’t turn down such an AMAZING offer! We took a bus to the Spinners stadium. Before we left on the bus we got red and white Tenney Band T-shirts. They were really cool and they were the colors for the Lowell Spinners! The bus ride was fun and fast. I talked with 8th graders about their year and what they did. The bus was filled with laughter and anxiousness. We finally arrived to the Lowell Spinners and unpacked our instruments. We had a quick practice session and then hustled to the gates.
