In addition to the amazing guidance and support at LRTC, I was also able to attend a job shadow at Subaru Evergreen for a service advisory position. Not long after, I was strongly encouraged to apply for this position at Rowe Ford. The automotive program received an ASE accreditation and I was selected to speak at a school board meeting to accept it on behalf of the program and students. I was also able to compete in the SkillsUSA contest where I placed top eight, and then competed in the following competition where I then placed third in “Automotive Service Technology”. Outside of LRTC I work part time as a manager, going on 2.5 years for a restaurant where I have learned a lot about leadership and how to work well with others. In addition to my job, I have also for the past 1.5 years volunteered my free weekends helping out a farm with their needs such as helping cattle in/out of stalls, feeding, milking, cleaning out stalls and laying bedding
