As of December 7, 2015 an additional payment of $16,950 was paid to MBE contractors, namely Cody Builders. According to information gathered from the weekly update meeting on Tuesday, Limited testing is ongoing, while general construction is very limited to punch-out and some close-out work. The most recent pay app which was signed on 11/11/2015 was modified on 12/8/2015, though it has not been noted as paid by DCW to date.
No additional payments were recorded during the previous week. The pay app was drafter on 11/18/2015 but has not been approved by Arcadis of DCW to date. As a result, payments have been on hold.
Attended a project progress meeting which revealed the project remains behind schedule as USC has had construction challenges including subcontractor disputes amongst the engineering firms. To date, over $3.5 million in construction remains on the project. I am working to see if any of the additional trades may be subcontracted to M/WBE. This may prove to be a challenge because at this point DCW and the CM team is more concerned with having the already late project completed in the near future. …show more content…
Met with the CHP PM team to review payroll issues and payment issues with amongst subcontractors and their lower tier subs as well as payment issues amongst the design engineering firms. It has been suggested that the engineering firms resort to additional legal counsel to resolve ongoing issues regarding lack of payments to lower tier subcontractors.
There was no on-site work completed during the
