Mystery of the 3rd Murderer Macbeth is a play easily misunderstood, there is a very interesting part in the play Act 3 Scene 2. Where Banquo is killed by three murderers except no one knows who the third murderer is. Many say that the third murderer is Macbeth himself but no one clearly knows. Trying to uncover the mysteries of who that mysterious person was the night they killed Banquo. Honestly, Macbeth might have been the third murderer but it is more complicated than that. “Although the banquet was to commence at seven,Macbeth did not go there till near midnight”(Shakespeare VI. which implies that Macbeth was doing something that took him about four hours to get to the banquet.
