In the Tragedy of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth influenced her husband to kill King Duncan so that Macbeth would become king and they could be rich. In act II scene 3 lines 100-105 Macbeth states,’’ O, yet I do repent me of my fury, That I did kill them… Who can be wise, amazed, temp’rate, and furious, Loyal, and neutral, in a moment? No man’’ (Shakespeare 100-105). This shows that if Lady Macbeth wouldn’t have influenced Macbeth to kill King Duncan then he wouldn’t have killed the servants. Also in Act III scene 1 lines 48-49 Macbeth states, ‘’ Our fears in Banquo stick deep, and in his royalty of nature’’… The second murderer states,’’ We shall, my lord, perform what you command us’’ (Shakespeare 126-127).
