What is a hero? What do they do? Who are they? I believe a hero is a role model, a good person and the person you look up to. A hero is determined to achieve their goals, a very good player and always is far at everything. A hero also has mental strength and courage they don’t care what others think or say they only care what is good and how they can make a better them and how they can make a better world. In saying that Madonna Blyth is my hero.
Madonna Blyth is a famous Australian field hockey player who played in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and has played and captain in a lot of ongoing games/teams. Madonna Blyth also plays for the Queensland Scorcher and captains them in the Australia Hockey League. Madonna has always wanted to be a captain of a…show more content… Madonna played her 250th game for Australia in June 2013, and was the only fifth Australian woman to achieve this number which is a huge number of games image playing that many games and she won most of them.
At the 2014 Commonwealth games, she encouraged the team as a captain and shot/scored the winning goal in the shootout against England.
Madonna played Australian Hockey League for the first time in 2004 as the Queenslanders were very strong so it was hard to get there at the end. In Madonna’s first year in the big scene of hockey she played half back (which I play) which she was very proud and grateful of. Madonna had been given the chance to play for another state the year before, but decided that she’d prefer to wait and hopefully play for Queensland which she ended up doing.
