All five of these events had huge impacts on why the feudal system fell to the ground. It all started with the Magna Carta, when developments led to middle class power, like the English Parliament, and the new Common Law which applied equally to all people. This balanced out representation and helped equal out rights. Even the Magna Carta itself was written to protect the rights and freedoms of the nobles and common people. The Crusades came along and also shifted power among the feudal pyramid. Nobles were dying in the Crusades and lords were helpless without ownership of land.
