Because of this ultimatum, a robot was made of Majorie’s dead husband, Walter, in order to give her comfort. Tess, Majorie’s daughter, disapproved of the robot and fails to realize the effect of the robot on Majorie. Despite Tess’s disapproval, her husband believed it would give Majorie comfort and possibly lead to her recovery. After Majorie died, Majorie prime was made in order to give Tess comfort. Tess was very depressed and rarely talked to Majorie Prime or left the house. Her husband tried countless attempts to get Tess out of her depression. With the attention of helping Tess, they went on vacation. On this trip, Tess killed herself. Soon after, a robot was made of Tess for Jon. The play ended with the three robots having conversations about the stories they were told through the years. The actors showed their emotions very well, which helped the viewers understand the play more easily. Additionally, there was a clear focus and outfits that were unique to each character. However, I would not recommend this play to potential audience members. The overall tone of the play was very depressing. In addition, it was difficult to recognize that the were robots.
