Each Saturday and Sunday we would go and feed some of the homeless people in several neighborhoods within NY City. After working with this organization, I joined a community college where after two years I knew I wanted to pursue a degree in social work. I continued working with several organizations on the idea of furthering my education struck me. I realized that education is a lifelong process. There is no one time anyone can claim that I have learned enough. Therefore, I enrolled for my bachelor's degree in social work while at the same time working. It took a lot of discipline to balance the demands of the job, family, and education.
