I tell you all this just to give a perspective of what Malcolm Smith was doing before his Super Bowl performance. Smith wasn’t bad or anything, but he certainly wasn’t expected to do what he did and wasn’t seen as a key player for the Seahawks going into that game. But, he proved all of us wrong. In Super Bowl XLVII, Smith and the Seahawks absolutely DOMINATED the Denver Broncos, in one of the most lopsided Super Bowl games of all time. In this game, Smith obviously stepped up, the whole reason he is here, as he recorded 6 Tackles to go along with a pic 6. This was the start to Smith’s takeoff in the NFL. He won Super Bowl MVP, on a stacked team over guys like Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, or any defensive guys like Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas, or Richard Sherman.
