In this article, “Managing the Storm of a Toddlers Tantrums”, Parri Klass comments on how parents focus on tantrums as a disobedient behavior instead of recognizing the emotional content. She believes that parents should not respond with adult anger, which would be frustration dealing with the child tantrums. Parents don’t often think about what is going on inside the child to make them have these tantrums. Klass notes how a neuroscientist named Michael Potegal explains what a tantrum is made of and the studies of typically developing children.
