In a parrot in the oven Martinez uses simile .To create the character of manny’s as an ambitious hard worker because if he isn’t working he feels useless like an empty bottle, And he also want a good future for him because he is already thinking about his future.. Manny’s shows positive characteristics because he is responsible and he also wants a better life for him but also he shows negative characteristics because when he really wanted to go to school but the principal of the school didn't wanted to give him the papers, So there he start thinking in a negative way because he start thinking that he was not going to school never. Also he's not the only one in the story, In the story shows his family his Mom, Dad,Brother,SIster and his friends.This is a novel in which there is a young man his name is manny who wants to go to school who wants to have a better future but he also kinda change his mind because he was struggling.The three dominant that bring …show more content…
