Marcel Duchamp painting Nude Descending A Staircase (1912) is a painting that has a mixture of Cubism and Futurism but at the same time it can be seen as Surrealism. It is a difficult painting to understand and have to do a little research behind the artist to understand the image.
The painting has several of irregular geometrical shapes that make up the whole image of the painting. At first glance one is not able to see what the painting really is but if looked at more than one time; one can see a form of a person who is walking down the stairs.
