Hello from Big Spring, Texas! My name is Alicia Fowler Cervantes. I am 17 years old and I attended Forsan ISD as a junior! I am very excited to be writing to you today! I have always wanted a pen pal, as I believe it is a great way to meet new people and the different people that thrive around the world. Big Spring is pretty boring, in my opinion. There is pretty much a main road called Greg Street that most restaurants are on. My favorite restaurant is Wendy’s! Other than restaurants, Big Spring just consists of the excitement of Walmart and the Bowl-O-Rama. We also have a waterpark which is kind of small but it has a lazy river and that is all I care about. You can also go to the park. For instance, you will never see the same equation all the time, and in science there are so many things that we still don’t know! During school I also participate in marching band and concert band. I play the trombone and baritone for the band. If you had a choice to play any instrument, what would it be? Marching season is one of my favorite times of the school year. During concert season I participate in solo, ensemble and all-region. This year for solo and ensemble I was involved in an ensemble and we got division 1! Picture: Due to this we will get to perform at state. Another extracurricular activity I am involved in is cheerleading. I am a varsity cheerleader for my junior and senior year. A little bit more about me is: I enjoy reading, playing instruments, gardening, small art projects, binge watching TV shows, dressing up and doing my makeup, I love cooking as well! As of right now, I haven't been able to read due to a medical problem. I had Bell’s Palsy! It is a medical condition caused by stress that causes paralysis on the right side of the face.
