Margie Palatini was born in Edison, New Jersey. She grew up telling stories, making and performing puppet shows, and putting on plays. She was very animated and funny growing up. She had a really good ear for imitating voices, and would create characters for her puppet shows by imitating the voices of the people around her. It wasn’t just her mother, father, aunts, and uncles that lent their voices as inspiration for her characters; her doctor, teachers, and people that acted on her favorite show, I Love Lucy were also an inspiration for her works.
