Ethics is a serious matter when it comes to any idea, material, or project. Ethics establishes a limit between originality, stealing, and how one should act in an ever changing technology environment. The dictionary defines ethics as moral principles that govern a person's or group's behavior. Without these Code of Ethics in place people could take credit for the works that other people deserve. It is morally understood and recognized that falsely obtain information is wrong and misrepresent themselves. The most prominent factor for plagiarizing is being expelled from the university. Administration takes plagiarism seriously because it shows that the student sees no fault with cheating and if the student thinks that stealing someone else’s idea is okay and he/she graduates it would reflect badly on the university. Plagiarism shows that the student is willing to break the rules to get ahead and sees nothing morally wrong with it.
