The quote for the book “Slaughtered by the hands of hate.”(Nelson). The quote mainly meant they hated him for no reason at all. The text showed how unfair and cruel they treated people. Aswell the book told readers what would happen to people which different races if they did something illegal. Marilyn Nelson's third and final book is called “Freedom business” her book impacted separation between races. Her book was about an African prince, Broteer Furro was captured by slave traders at age six. And was first to write about his life as an American slave. Their was a quote that stood out it said ”I spent most of the long days contemplating fate.” The quote meant he spent most of his life waiting for fate to kick into action. To wrap my book information up, the book changed the view of many people maybe they read the poem and learned something new about what happened to people with different a race in the past and they can spread knowledge to others.
