Along the journey to their grandmother’s house, they encountered many challenges. They’ve seen legends/tales that were always mere legends. They were never meant to be real. They also met a goddess. When they arrived at their grandmother’s house, they had already encountered all sorts of mysteries. While recuperating at their grandmother’s house, they talked about their father and their grandmother giving them advice. Her advice was to not blame themselves for what their father did and to focus more on their mother and love each other more. Then, they finally went back to their mother. It starts with the birth of Odysseus’s son. Not long after, Odysseus is forced to go to war against the Trojans. After the war, he angers Poseidon, the king of water. After he angers Poseidon, Odysseus sets sail to go back home to Ithaca. By the time the war ends, it's already been 10 years. However, they haven’t been able to see the land for months. When they finally saw land, it wasn’t Ithaca, but the island where Poseidon’s sons reside. They invade the island and some crew members get eaten. They blinded the youngest of Poseidon’s sons to escape the island safely. They sail off again, they don’t see another island until a few months later. They find an unknown island that was inhabited by Aeolus, the god of wind. Aeolus takes all of the wind that sailed west to help Odysseus reach Ithaca. The reason why Odysseus wasn’t able to go home was because Poseidon was controlling the waters to stop him from going to Ithaca. They almost reach Ithaca, until one of the crew members opens the wind bag/bottle and unleashes all the winds. They get blown towards an unknown island where a sorceress lives. They lived there for an extra five years because they got bewitched by the sorceress. Then, Odysseus goes to the underworld to meet the prophet. The prophet tells him what to do. So, he goes to the islands that had the three-headed monster named Scylla. Scylla kills most of
