Hiring your standards for student success is something all schools should focus on to have academic success. In order to increase student success at Anaheim schools, school hours should be extended longer than they already are. In the article “Marita’s Bargain” by Malcolm Gladwell, he supports this argument by saying, “There are kids here from seven twenty-five until seven p.m.”(9). The students at KIPP have schedules up to 12 hours at school while Anaheim students spend only up to 7-8 hours.
