The art of manipulation or persuasion can be seen in only the most skillful of people. Rhetoric is the art that few have mastered. First taught in 600 BC, rhetoric started as a civic art taught by the Sophist circa to persuade people. It was especially used in legal disputes. Aristotle once said, “If there are two definitive features of ancient Greek civilization, they are loquacity and competition.” Aristotle used his words in such a way that make you believe those two simple words describe the whole Greek civilization.
