Mark is currently a 36-year-old Caucasian male. He has been diagnosed with schizophrenia continuous, unspecified personality disorder, and alcohol and poly substance disorder. He grew up living with both biological parents and his younger brother. There is no documented history of mental illness in the family. Mark has never been married and has no children. On his chart it states that his occupations were working around the house, doing work on the family farm and being a diesel mechanic. He sustained further injuries during childhood playing football and riding a dirt bike. Following problems with school, he started to have periods where he would not return home, along with showing signs of mood swings and anger issues. In 1998 his mother reported that he was pistol whipped in the head when a drug deal went wrong. Later in 2000 he was arrested for drug possession and selling banned substances. He went on to wreck many vehicles that were bought for him, and got arrested for drug possession once more, after which he was beaten up. In the summer of 2000 he moved in with his grandmother, but became delusional, lethargic, and unable to sleep. His mother reports that “he was talking about drugs and became fixated on the ones for sexual reproduction”. His delusions increased and his parents attempted to get him the help they thought he needed in out-patient care. He was referred to a hospital and “the doctor there said that he was possibly schizophrenic and was given some treatment” Mark returned home with his parents, however his mother writes “he continues to get more delusional “and he would shout at his parents and accuse them of not telling him the truth.
