The Market Revolution brought about significant economically, socially, and politically to those looking to grow in America (Schultz, 2009). The economic changes during the Market Revolution were brought about by transformations in modes of transference of merchandise to markets changed the style of farming. Also, communication between the states altered allowing quicker information dissemination. Moreover, the advent of specialty farming allowed for significant monetary gain and a dependence on others for daily goods, and eventually the rise in industrial development due to this style of farming. Even though we recognize these changes in the economy, what were the specifics of them?

Prior to the Market revolution the American people mostly resided on farms for survival, but with the invention of factories, the percentage rose from “5% [to] 16%” (Schultz, 2009, p. 177) in just twenty years. Additionally, the growth of the market had affected fossil fuel sources (wood), and animal environments were destroyed by wood cutting and factories water usage (Schultz, 2009).
