While our final design wasn’t what I had first imagined, I placed trust in my teammates, which I feel is an important element of teamwork. Teamwork boils down to simply working well with others, and our success in building a free-standing structure was based strongly on that ability. Values/Ethics, while equally important in interprofessional work, was not a huge factor in this challenge. Ethics is based on moral principles, and the process of building a tower did not rely heavily on one’s morals. Values is more based upon “proper” behavior and to an extent this did come in to play regarding our team. Any group of individuals will consist of people on some spectrum being introverted or extraverted. While it is easy to listen to and hear out the more extroverted people, as they are first to voice their thoughts, I feel as though it is important to also respect the more introverted of the group.
