They faced the dangers of being lynched, police brutality and many could not find a decent job based solely on the color of their skin. But, when a preacher from Atlanta, Georgia helped begin the Civil rights movement this all began to change. This man was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr is well known as a talented writer of oratory.
