When i think of great authors who contributed to history the first one that comes to mind is dr. Martin luther king jr. mlk was born january 15, 1929. He was originally born martin king but changed to martin luther after the german protestant leader.Mlk has created many works of art in his lifetime writing 5 books and over 450 speeches. One of the most historical peices he's written is the “I Have A Dream” speech. People often wander about how many ways mlk made his mark on american history and literature.Mlk made his mark on american literature by writing the speeches that inspired nationwide change of policies that were so strong you would have thought it was set in stone. Mlk is also a representative of his era because he created the name for the era he was alive.

Mlk was Born in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 15, 1929 his parents family home in Atlanta. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the first son and second child born to the Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr. and Alberta Williams King. his dad was a pastor and his mom was a significant pillar of the ebenezer baptist church.In 1955, mlk was recruited to serve as spokesman for the Montgomery Bus Boycott
In 1957, Dr. King was elected president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.Mlk was extremely educated in a lot of aspects of life.
