I agree that Mary Surratt had the right to be put to death by the federal government for helping planning the kidnapping plot of Abraham Lincoln. Mary Surratt is guilty for helping with the plot and for not telling the truth when she did need to at the time.
Mary Surratt had helped with the kidnapping plot of Abraham Lincoln. Mary had helped plan the plot for the president with John Wilkes Booth. Mary knew of the kidnapping plot of Abraham Lincoln. She had known about it through Booth. In Booth’s diary he had said that “For six months we had worked to capture [the president]”, as in maybe Surratt was helping him work to capture Lincoln.
