In the book, “MASS COMMUNICATION, Sixth Edition” written by Ralph E. Hanson, states that the studio system which was all major studios such as Paramount Pictures, MGM, Warner Bros, and others controlled every aspect of the production system and had all the control of the distribution system. The studio system ended until 1948 when the U.S. Supreme Court controlled that the studios finance and distribute films produced by independent companies rather than making movies themselves with the staff (Hanson). Generally, the growth of television started in the 1950s which was becoming more popular than movies at the time decreasing the ticket sales and movie audiences. Color was also being used in television and movies adjusting from the black and
