She was miserable as if she had nothing, unappreciative to what she had. Loisel want to look glorious with the best clothes and jewels, and envied the people who had it. Even though Loisel or her husband had no money to buy the best things, Loisel's husband knew she wouldn't be happy until she got it. It's very funny how you get so attached to a piece of material that, it can ruin your life. For Loisel's envy of diamonds and the best jewels, she paid for it for ten years working for a necklace that was originally fake. It really gives you the message
