Upon completing the MSU mathematical accuplacer practice test, I gained much knowledge about what to expect when it comes to taking the real test. Prior to taking math analysis, I was not aware that some colleges require for their students to partake in this exam.
According to the college board the “ACCUPLACER uses the latest computer-adaptive technology and the questions you see are based on your skill level.” If it wasn’t for our tentative math teacher, I would not have known how to properly prepare for this test. This test included a plethora of algebraic equations that required much speculation and understanding of what the question was asking and how to respond accordingly.
I consider myself to be an exceptional at math and taking the…show more content… Calculators were permitted for this test however, I was not in much need for one as the questions could be completed without one. MSU gives their student the option to take this test online or in person.
Preferably, I would much rather take the test in person and handwritten as it seems more practical and constructive. Anything written down by hand seems to stick out more to me and is more notable. I definitely feel prepared to take the test when the time comes.
Accuplacer Test
Math represents real-world phenomena that correlate with one another. In order to obtain a cohere understanding at math, one can only practice it as much as they can. I myself, am thinking about pushing my limits and taking the college- level math with a little bit more studying and preparation. In order to strengthen my skills, I will dedicate as much time as I can into taking different math ACCUPLACER exams from different schools. My main focus is to better understand word problems as though sometimes they could be a little intricate. The best method to solving a word problem is by reading the question over and over in your head until you grasp what value you are trying to solve for and which equation best fits it.
