The Protagonists in “Matryona’s Home”, “The Guest”, and “The Metamorphosis” find several moral triumphs in their trials. For example, the protagonists have the triumph of their morals being more Christ like the morals of the people surrounding them, the triumph of having lived up to their morals, and the triumph of living through their trials still faithful to their morals.
