U.S atrocities are completely erased in the movie, most notably the U.S intervention in other parts of the world-all the violence, bombings, assassinations and tortures. The movie didn’t show U.S destroying the beautiful cities of Iraq, which later became recruitment grounds for Islamic militants. They forced thousands of people out their homes and tortured them. The weapons the Americans used caused a great health crisis that the people of Iraq are still suffering from it today. All of these atrocities weren’t shown in the movie which gave audiences a bias point of view. Islamic extremists have often mentioned that they have struck terror in the U.S for their actions in the past. They aren’t insane savages who go around shooting people without reasons. They have rational justifications for their acts. There have been social, religious and political injustices done to them. But the movie makes it seem that the Islamic militants are irrational savages killing people without reasons. American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee has warned of a “significant rise in violent hate rhetoric targeting the Arab and Muslim-American communities.” “Great fucking movie and now I really want to kill some fucking ragheads” was a tweet in Twitter.” “Just watched American sniper and I wanna kill some motherfuckers” was another outrageous tweet. If this continues Muslims will retort into violence and we will have many casualties and great losses on both sides. It will also jeopardize the relation between American Arabs and other Americans
