Creativity and imagination, something that some people are born with, while others must work for; however, there are some that have it but others are scared to show it and that is what happened to me. Growing up as a kid, I always had a book in my hand no matter where I was. Over time, I realized reading was my imagination portal, it was my escape from an ordinary world and from my reality. Every book was a new experience, a new world, a new portal - my portal. It was the only place where I could be free to let my imagination run wild, a place where my imagination was not tied down. So, I began reading fiction books such as Captain Underpants, Magic Tree House, but my favorite of all time was Max the Stubborn Wolf. As I grew up I understood why I choose these books, and it was because those books were something out of the ordinary things that might not occur in life. The idea of being able to escape into this other universe that the authors had created fascinated me. So, this dismissed the need to play with others I would just imagine myself in the books and even when I was not reading I could still daydream of these other universes and place myself in them and let my mind run free. So, I decided to break away from my dad’s request to stop reading and dived back in harder than ever. However, this time I did not read fiction books but instead nonfiction books about mystery and crime books. I began to get into how criminals’ minds worked and this peaked my interest which led me to dig deeper into how their victims died. I grasped that along with the books I started to dwell on everything about crimes. These books led to me figuring out my real passion for forensic medicine.
