At Mckinsey high school, funding for resources for the school has been scarce. The solution they have come up with is to cut funding for the sports and arts program at the school. This solution would leave the coach of the football team, Davis, who has been coaching for ten years. Coach Davis, despite having a sick wife and a five-year-old daughter at home, constantly strategizes ways to get to the championship game and save the program. He knows losing funding for the sports program would cause lack of motivation for his players and lack of income to support his family. Luckily, a student named Adrian recently started attending McKinsey High and he has the passion and talent for football. Although Adrian lives with his single mother and two younger siblings, he finds the time to hold two jobs and participate on the football team. Ever since he joined the team, they’ve been winning games and coach Davis believes they can make it to the championship and win. This framework protects all those who are at stake and vulnerable to the dilemma. The only limitation is the unfair treatment other students receive if they knew that Adrian wasn’t reported for plagiarism and his actions may lead to more lies and cheating in the future. However, if guided by care and love and he can continue his extracurricular activity, there is less chance he will continue to lie and cheat. The framework allows Adrian to continue playing a sport he’s passionate about, coach davis to keep his job so he can take care of his family, and the school community to have more money in their budget.
