There are many cases in our generation similar to the story of Medea. Examples of these cases includes the unfortunate mothers Andrea Yates and Susan Smith. Not only are there are relatable events between these cases, there are noticeable differences as well. All three of these mothers has killed their own children to in order to keep them from bearing any pain from future problems. Although this seems like the right direction to take, I do not find any of these three killings justifiable in any way. There are many similar events between the cases of Medea, Smith, and Yates.
