Viderunt Omnes by Anonymous was composed during the Medieval period. It is a Gregorian chant and has a very simple melody. The melody of the song has a small range of notes, the singers do not reach super high notes it is mostly deep. Viderunt Omnes has a monophonic texture, which means that there is only one line of music. Which nowadays is uncommon to hear because most songs are polyatomic. In the song, you can only hear males voice and there are no musical instruments playing. O Viridissima Virga by Hildegard of Bingen was also composed in the Medieval period and has a simple melody.
